Well, as most know, this is the week of the fourth of July. However, we work here at Ghost Ranch on the fourth of July. So, instead we celebrate Independence Day on the 2nd. So, yesterday we had a little celebration, pictures will be coming shortly.
Today was just a day to relax after a long week of work. This past week we brought our YSC group from Minneapolis to a nonprofit called Adobe in Action where they made adobe bricks in the morning, and boy was that a lot of work. We also had two days of service on the ranch. One of which we spent making adobe bricks, but with slightly different methods. On the ranch we all got a chance to walk around in mud, mixing the clay and water. We even had three girls decide to take mud baths and cover themselves completely in mud (which hardens rather fast in NM).
I wish I had time to write more at the moment, but I will try to update some more in the afternoons here, which this past week consisted of four hour long naps. Pictures are coming soon.
