Love it here.

There's really not much time to post, I'm hoping maybe tomorrow. But until I get to, here's a photo:

Busy

Just a quick update- everything is going great! It's a very nonstop week so I don't have much time to update this blog, but I am planning on an update at some point next week- so keep checking for new posts!

Love,

Quaker Color Exchange!

The other day was quite an exciting day. In the morning YSC joined Youth Programing, OA (outdoor adventures), and some flex team members at the waterfront, along with 30+ Quaker children (& a few adults). And in the evening several college staff members participated in the Quaker run Color Exchange.

The Color Exchange is tie-dying with squirt bottles. Everyone gathers together, spaced out in a set location with squirt bottles in hand. Once given the go ahead the whole group runs around squirting dye at each other. Oh, and we do wear white shirts for this.

Below are some pictures from the other day's events:

My unique flip-flops! (they look better in person)

Oh, all the places we shall go.

As a part of my job as a YSC Leader at Ghost Ranch I get to go off ranch and to the surrounding area a lot. Just this past week we have gone to four off site locations so we can meet with the people who run those locations and see what their organization might appreciate some help with. Each site had it's own unique story, and different activities for the youth who come to us to do. It really is all quite exciting, in my opinion. We've visited with a local teen center (just starting off), a family farm, Adobe in Action, and the Boys and Girls Club of Ohkay Owingeh.
